Science Week 2018 - SpiderMouse: silk superpowers
The Experimental Neurology Lab in collaboration with the Biomaterials and Regenerative Engineering Lab has participated in the XIII edition of the Science Week organized by Comunidad de Madrid.
High school students have been introduced into the biomedical possibilities of silk, either from a spider and from a silk worm, and the approaches that can be used to assess functional outcome in mice. At the Experimental Neurology Lab, students were shown two behavioural tests that enable us to elucidate cognitive and sensorimotor functions in mice.
